The ABN AMRO Open—better known as the Rotterdam Open—is set to light up the indoor courts from February 1-9. Featuring four top-10 players: Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur, and Andrey Rublev. Former champions Felix Auger-Aliassime and Stan Wawrinka are also set to return. The rest of the field is just as strong, with Holger Rune, Hubert Hurkacz, and the latest addition—Stefanos Tsitsipas—who confirmed his entry at the last minute.

The opening round always brings plenty of excitement, with every player giving their all to extend their stay in Rotterdam. As expected, the top eight seeds safely made it through their first matches across the first two days.
But the second round brought some surprising results. Second seed Daniil Medvedev and seventh seed Arthur Fils were both stopped by qualifiers—Mattia Bellucci and Daniel Altmaier. Meanwhile, fifth seed Holger Rune fell to Pedro Martinez, ending his run earlier than expected.
Moving on to the quarterfinals, Carlos Alcaraz secured a spot in the semifinals with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory over Pedro Martinez. Hubert Hurkacz battled through a thrilling three-set match against Andrey Rublev to advance to the next round. Alex de Minaur made quick work of his opponent, cruising to a 6-1, 6-4 victory to reach the semifinals. Mattia Bellucci, who has delivered one surprise after another, knocked out Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals, making him one of the biggest dark horses of this year’s tournament.
